Brit actor Michael Fassbender may not be a household name on this side of the pond, but that may all change soon, if these new studio photos are any indication.
Period romance lovers are salivating for “Jane Eyre” (April 8), in which he’s lonely rich man Edward Rochester opposite “Alice in Wonderland’s” Mia Wasikowska in the title governess role.
Then in June, Fassbender mutates into Erik Lehnsherr, the superhero who becomes Magneto in the prequel “X-Men: First Class,” opposite James Mc-Avoy as Charles Xavier.
And Fassbender is set to star in Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus,” a prequel of sorts to “Alien.” It’s due out in June 2012.
